I searched for myself in a quiet room,
A flickering candle, a wisp of gloom.
The silence echoed my untamed mind—
A riddle I’d never dared unwind.

In mirrors framed by doubt and grace,
I saw a stranger in my face.
Not lost, but layered—light and shade,
A tapestry both sharp and frayed.

But then I wandered through the world,
Where other hearts and thoughts unfurled.
In every soul, a window shone,
Each life a verse, each voice its own.

A child who laughed with broken shoes,
A woman humming ancient blues,
A man who wept behind a smile—
Each held my gaze, and stayed awhile.

Their wounds were different, yet the same,
Their stories lit my inner flame.
In knowing them, I came to see
The boundless rooms inside of me.

So now I walk both deep and wide,
With self and others side by side.
For understanding's truest art
Is seeing others in your heart.

Ocean’s Embrace 

 

The salt kiss on the morning air 

A constant whisper, wild, and fair .

Each dawn, the ocean breathes and sighs,

Reflecting endless, Changing skies.

 

My windows frame a shifting blue,

Where seagulls cry out their daily clue.

The rhythmic crash, a lullaby

As waves surrender, then rush high.

 

Sand on the floor, a sandy trace

A gentle mark of time and place.

No need for clocks the tides my guide,

across the vast, enduring wide

Uncharted Waters

The road ahead, a misty, winding thread, Each step uncertain, where it might be led. A compass spins, no North star I can find, Just shifting currents, a restless, searching mind.

Dreams like scattered leaves on an autumn breeze, Whisper of futures, bringing little ease. Should I chase the sun, or drift with falling rain? Each choice a gamble, mixed with hope and pain.

The weight of "what if," a constant, heavy guest, While silent longings put my soul to test. A blank page waits, demanding ink and lore, But the story's unwritten, from shore to distant shore.

Yet in this haze, a flicker starts to gleam, A quiet strength within this waking dream. To walk with open heart, though paths are yet unknown, And trust that purpose, in time, will surely be shown.
